Spencer Hamilton

CityLine Stage

Spencer Hamilton has been a musician and songwriter since the age of 13. He began his journey into music by strumming air guitar with a hockey stick in his bedroom to the “Now: That’s What I Call Music 5” CD. The hockey stick was soon replaced with a pawn shop guitar and the rest is history. He spent his formative years playing in bands and jamming all around the North Texas area in various storage units, thin walled apartments, and other reluctant venues, but now he’s sticking to stages where possible. He’s recently taken on the role of audio engineer in an attempt to get his own songs out into the world, his debut effort being the equal parts rock and literature inspired EP Annotations, which he recorded and mixed under the moniker Local Man Dies. Since taking a break from the recording side of music, Spencer has been seizing every opportunity to perform his original songs live and is very excited to be a part of the comradery of the Al Johnson Wildflower Songwriter Competition.
