Amanda Latz

CityLine Stage

A Chicago land native, Amanda grew up with a love of powerhouse female vocalists, musical theater and house music playlists.  All of these would come together and shape what is now her masterfully eclectic sound.  At just the tender age of 2, she was thrown onstage to sing Somewhere Over the Rainbow at a local festival karaoke booth, and she hasn’t looked back since. Music has followed her throughout her life, through the ups and downs, from church choirs to high school musicals, and has led her to find her passion and purpose in life. By college, her choice was clear that music was something she had to pursue. She attended Columbia College, located in of the heart of Chicago, where she graduated with Bachelor’s in Music, studying performance and songwriting. It was there that her songwriting passion fully came to life and she began to write seriously. She has released a slew of singles and covered some of the greatest hits of yesterday and today. She is currently in the processing of writing, recording and producing her first full length album, entitled Beautiful Chaos. She became very inspired by the past two years of her life to write about how to embrace the chaos of this world and turn these moments into beautiful experiences to grow from.  She currently resides in San Antonio, where she performs at local clubs, restaurants and weddings. She is honored to be a finalist in the 2019 Al Johnson Songwriting Contest at the Wildflower Music and Arts Festival this year and looks forward to what the future holds for her.
