Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival Announces 2019 Official Headliners Fitz and the Tantrums

Either you know all the words to the refrain of “HandClap,” or you’re just lying. Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival is elated to announce the addition of the indie pop Fitz and the Tantrums, to the 2019 line-up.

Established in 2008, Fitz and the Tantrums have quickly grown from indie upstarts, to bonafide hitmakers. Scorching up the scene with the soulful R&B revival sound, their debut album Pickin’ Up The Pieces (2010 Dangerbird Records) introduced us to Michael Fitzpatrick, Noelle Scaggs, James King, Joseph Karnes, Jeremy Ruzumna and John Wicks.

HEADLINERS ANNOUNCED & TICKETS ON SALE

General admission tickets, weekend passes, and VIP tickets are now on sale for the 27th annual Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival May 17-19, 2019. Headliners include Fitz and the Tantrums, Judah & the Lion and more than 80 other bands and musicians are booked to perform on six stages during this smashing three day festival.

The line-up is more than just a dream!! Bust out the big hair, cow bells, bandanas, shoulder pads, and throw back threads because this year fans are going to rock to these headlining bands:

2019 Line-Up Announced February 15

The line-up for the 2019 Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival is going to be announced on Friday, February 15. The exciting reveal of more than 20 bands is also coupled with the activation of online ticket sales including the VIP passes that historically sell out very quickly.

Fans should check the website and social media to see the promotional video featuring the headliners and more!

For the first time ever we’re also giving away a set of weekend passes prior to ticket sales. The contest that began on February 6 is posted on the Facebook Event Page. Look for the “Wildflower! Wednesday Weekend Giveway” post in the discussion tab and vote for a chance to win. The randomly selected winner to be announced on Wednesday, February 13.

BIG CITY OUTLAWS

Big City Outlaws is a high energy country rock/pop cover band that performed on the Bud Light Stage at Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival in Richardson. They have been entertaining the DFW metroplex since 2012.

This rockin’ group of musicians deliver country classics like Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash to keep the audience on their feet and singing along. Accurate renditions of classic rock includes Lynyrd Skynyrd, Journey, and Poison to current country artists such as Taylor Swift, Big & Rich, Kenny Chesney, and Zac Brown Band.

CHRIS CHISM RECEIVES MICHAEL TERRY PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD

The Michael Terry’s People Choice Award was given to Chris Chism of Dallas at the conclusion of the Al Johnson Performing Songwriter Contest. 10 finalists were selected from 300 applicants in a blind screening process. The top 10 then traveled to Richardson and performed live on the UnitedHealthcare Singer Songwriter Stage inside the Eisemann Center during the Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival. Along with the honor of the award, Chism also received a $500 cash prize.

GATES OPEN AT 6:30PM AND WILDFLOWER! STAGES TO ROCK ON SATURDAY

It’s been a wild weekend here at Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival! We are so excited to update that the gates are going to open at 6:30 p.m.. The festival has been partially open since this morning and indoor performances inside the Eisemann Center have continued as scheduled throughout the day.

Unfortunately, Blue Oyster Cult had to cancel its appearance at the Festival due to its flight into DFW International Airport being cancelled because of the severe weather. All acts prior to 6:30 p.m. set to perform on outdoor stages have been removed from the schedule.
