Local Bands Rock the Bud Light Stage

The Rich Girls have a simple motto: We will make your dreams come true! Don’t be fooled by the name- this is not your typical Hall & Oats cover band. The Rich Girls have been making the rounds in the metroplex and wowing audiences with their unique renditions of traditional Hall & Oats tunes, as well as, clever interpretations of current pop, rock, and rap. Graceland Ninjaz – Known in the metroplex as the ‘King of Party Bands,’ this diverse group boasts three Emmy winners and unlimited talent. An audience favorite, they return to Wildflower! on Saturday, May 19 at 9:45 pm, for what is sure to be another life changing experience and the best street dance in town! Performing on Sunday at 4:00 pm, award winning singer, songwriter and musician, Frankie Leonie is establishing herself as the newest rising star in the Americana Country/Folk music revolution. Frankie was born in the heart of the Texas music scene – Austin. Like many legends before her, she started singing in church, filled with music by age 3. You’ll be swept away by her enchanting soulful voice.

Big City Outlaws is a high energy country rock/pop cover band that performed on the Bud Light Stage at Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival in Richardson. They have been entertaining the DFW metroplex since 2012.

This rockin’ group of musicians deliver country classics like Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash to keep the audience on their feet and singing along. Accurate renditions of classic rock includes Lynyrd Skynyrd, Journey, and Poison to current country artists such as Taylor Swift, Big & Rich, Kenny Chesney, and Zac Brown Band.

The Michael Terry’s People Choice Award was given to Chris Chism of Dallas at the conclusion of the Al Johnson Performing Songwriter Contest. 10 finalists were selected from 300 applicants in a blind screening process. The top 10 then traveled to Richardson and performed live on the UnitedHealthcare Singer Songwriter Stage inside the Eisemann Center during the Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival. Along with the honor of the award, Chism also received a $500 cash prize.

It’s been a wild weekend here at Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival! We are so excited to update that the gates are going to open at 6:30 p.m.. The festival has been partially open since this morning and indoor performances inside the Eisemann Center have continued as scheduled throughout the day.

Unfortunately, Blue Oyster Cult had to cancel its appearance at the Festival due to its flight into DFW International Airport being cancelled because of the severe weather. All acts prior to 6:30 p.m. set to perform on outdoor stages have been removed from the schedule.
